Mission:
The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library provides Wasco County's citizens with free and equal access to material relevant to their informational needs.  The library serves as an unbiased source of information with opportunities provided for personal, educational, cultural and recreational enrichment.

Description:
The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library serves the residents of Wasco County as well as the residents of surrounding areas who pay an annual fee or are included in reciprocal borrowing agreements.  It is operated as a separate fund of the City of The Dalles, and has been historically funded half by the City and half by Wasco County.  The library is also a member of Gorge LINK, an automated library system shared by nine libraries in a tri-county area.

Hours of Operation: Beginning July 7, 2008
Monday through Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

Fun Stuff for Kids
Toddlers bring your friends and family to The Dalles Wasco County Library Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:00. Listen to stories, sing, dance and get your wiggles out.
Pre-School storytime for 3-5 year olds is at the Library on Friday Mornings from 10:30-11:00.
All ages are welcome at either storytime. Questions? Call the Library 296-2815
